ASSOCIATE, GOVERNANCE AND BOARD PRACTICE

TLG is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join its Governance & Board Practice team on a one year contract.

  1. ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Chief Officer, Governance and Board Practice, the Associate will support the delivery of governance advisory services, including governance audits, board evaluations, research, and client assignments. The role will contribute to strengthening governance practice for clients while supporting business development and thought leadership initiatives.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Governance Advisory Support: Contribute to governance audits, board evaluations, and preparation of governance reports with actionable recommendations to enhance governance effectiveness.
  • Business Development Support: Identify relevant Request for Proposals (RFPs) and support the development of competitive governance and board practice proposals.
  • Project Coordination: Track project milestones, monitor progress, and provide timely updates to ensure successful delivery of governance assignments.
  • Research & Thought Leadership: Support governance research, case studies, and the development of insights that contribute to TLG’s thought leadership agenda.
  • Content Development: Develop governance-related digital content to support visibility, engagement, and awareness of governance best practices.
  • Program Support: Contribute to the development and promotion of governance programs and tools aligned with client needs and emerging governance trends.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery of client engagements.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Governance, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in governance, company secretarial practice, advisory, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and Accredited Governance Audit qualifications will be added advantages.

  • Knowledge of governance frameworks, structures, and best practices.
  • Strong proposal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Project coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and result-oriented.
