TLG is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head its Governance & Board Practice function.
ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director and CEO, the Chief Officer, Governance and Board Practices will lead the design and delivery of high-impact governance advisory services, including board evaluations, governance audits, and boardroom training and coaching for clients across the region.
- KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary governance leadership, advising boards on strategy, policy, and effectiveness while driving TLG’s growth.
Governance Advisory & Board Support: Lead board evaluations, governance audits, and boardroom training and coaching to enhance decision-making and best practices.
Legal & Compliance Oversight: Advise on governance frameworks, Board Charters, Committee TORs, policies, and legal instruments, for entities across all sectors including Government Owned Enterprises ensuring compliance and integrity.
Thought Leadership & Innovation: Curate and develop research, publications, and governance tools, keeping clients and TLG at the forefront of governance trends.
Operational Excellence: Deliver modular governance programs that strengthen leadership capacity and drive measurable impact.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Growth: Build strategic relationships with boards, executives, regulators, and partners to expand TLG’s strategic influence and client base.
- KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience at senior management level.
- Master’s degree in governance, Law, Business, or related field.
- Accredited Governance Auditor
- Company Secretary qualification and experience is an added advantage.
- Proven track record in consultancy and advisory roles at senior leadership or board level.
- Strong corporate governance capability and proven experience working with Boards.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

- Proven ability to facilitate training and coach boards and senior executives.
- Ability to operate independently, influence decision-making, and deliver strategic impact.
